Josiah A. Melendez

Our owner Josiah A. Melendez is a an experienced Spanish Interpreter who has been working in the field since 2009. He started his career as a language professional in the Mental Health field, serving as an interpreter for Spanish speaking clients in clinics and mental health hospitals.
Later when he moved to North Carolina in 2015 he began working in the legal field after receiving his initial certification and final certification in 2016. Since then, Josiah has worked under contract as a Level A Certified Court Interpreter for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts. While fulfilling his duties in this role he has participated in all levels of the State Court system including civil and criminal jury trials in Superior Court. He has also worked as an interpreter in dozens of depositions and Worker’s Compensation hearings before the Industrial Commission.
He has also provided services for multiple language services agencies in North Carolina and other surrounding states. Josiah has assisted the Federal Public Defenders Office, NOAA, and interpreted live for Governor Roy Cooper during the COVID-19 Press Briefings.
